One of the things that is happening in the Philippines is that there are a great number of Chinese workers flocking to the country. Aside from their dispute with Mainland China, it seems that there are those workers that are now staying in the Philippines more. And though there is a disputed territory, it seems that President Rodrigo Duterte never found this alarming.

However, if you are going to ask Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, he thinks that it is important to know where the online gambling workers are located. His reason is the “national security implications” of their presence. He also believes that there is a reason to track down online gambling workers because of tax laws. Another agency in the Philippines targeting the online gambling industry is the Bureau of Internal Revenue. According to the agency’s Revenue Memorandum Circular no. 78-2018, all PH-based gambling operators need to register to the BIR. This has become a requirement before they can renew their license to operate in the Philippines.

This is a move that is welcomed by many Filipinos considering the number of Chinese workers that are now in the Philippines. Keep in mind that the Philippines is known for overseas workers. Unfortunately, Chinese workers have been migrating to the Philippines.
